🇫🇷DEFI ECO SYNERGIE – HELIXIA

Collège et Lycée Viala Lacoste (13)🇫🇷

The team was formed in autumn 1997, on the initiative of a group of enthusiasts, all colleagues at work, who were keen to take up the challenge of the Shell Eco Marathon while representing the Berre Petrochemical Site as best they could. Some members, all site employees, stayed for varying lengths of time, but the strength and longevity of this team is due to its ‘core members’: Guy MARNAT (team leader), Patrick LOPEZ (lead driver) and Serge PORATI (mechanic).

Since then, Stéphane CARNEVALE, current president of the Défi Eco Synergie association, which manages the team, the electricity, the on-board electronics and the engine management, has joined the team, as well as, more recently, Denis SILVY, our chief mechanic, and Vincent MARNAT, our logistics coordinator.

For several years, the team has been partnering with the Lycée Pierre Mendès-France in Vitrolles, which develops 3D parts, optimises the chassis and bodywork, and works on driving and racing strategies.

🇫🇷BAYLE MOBILE – TEAM MOBILE & BAYLE MOBILE

Collège Pierre Bayle (09)🇫🇷

The two teams are made up of Year 9 and Year 10 pupils who have chosen to take part in this adventure because they enjoy it, because they are attracted by basic mechanics and electronics, and because they are attracted by the challenge and the competitions, which involve lots of interaction with older pupils and students. Each year, the team is renewed with former members (who have moved up from Year 9 to Year 10) and newcomers in Year 9.

Word of mouth and the results achieved in recent years also contribute to this desire to ‘be part’ of this internal school team.

In addition to the competition itself, with the discovery and learning of how vehicles work, there is also the management of the ‘journey’ with the stewardship and organisation of the group on site. Many discover the ‘joys’ of camping, depending on the weather, and the various constraints that come with it (meals, washing up, tidying up, etc.), a discovery, an adventure, memories that will remain etched in their minds forever…

Major results / Highlights :

  • EcoGreen Challenge: 3rd Participation

TEMA MOBILE TEAM : 2025 Result: 1st place

The Team Eco Mobile Appaméen (TEMA) brings together middle school students in grades 8 and 9 who have been the youngest competitors in the competition for more than three years now. Despite a turnover every year, which always complicates our overall organization, these teenagers do not disappoint with their enthusiasm and desire to perform and excel. In fact, in our electric prototype category, we have won the title for two years running, to everyone’s great satisfaction. Even though the days are long for them (and sometimes for us too…), the team always gives its all with determination and dedication. We are returning to the Eco Green Challenge this year with pleasure and enthusiasm, even though it is becoming increasingly difficult financially, as the age of the participants and administrative realities require us to travel by bus, which is becoming more and more expensive every year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners, without whom this extraordinary adventure for middle school students would not be possible.

See you soon on the track…

🇫🇷HYPERBOLE ++ – XSAVE 20 O

IUT GMP Orléans (45)🇫🇷

HYPERBOLE++ is a university association made up of students from the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Orleans.

Our goal is simple: to design and build an electric prototype for competition.

This year is particularly important for us. We are starting from scratch with a new prototype, which is 15 kg lighter, and we must finalise it before 20 May. This change represents a real challenge, but also a tremendous opportunity to progress and improve our performance.

We will be taking part in the Eco Green Energy Challenge in early May, which will allow us to get to grips with this prototype before the major event of the season: the Shell Eco-marathon in Poland at the end of June.

We are looking forward to taking on these challenges and hope to perform well enough to be among the frontrunners.
